Those who plant in tears will harvest SHOUTS OF JOY. They weep as they plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the HARVEST.

A Fly on the Wall
If you could have been a fly on the wall today at my house it would have had you rolling on the floor laughing hysterically. My husband and I have decided to get healthy and try to lose some weight. After Levi I have had a real hard time dropping the baby weight. I know I have to be careful not to lose to quickly as I am still nursing full time. O.k. so back to the story. Here I was on my treadmill walking at almost a slow run singing my heart out to Casting Crowns. Now the funny part was the fact that I cannot carry a tune so I can only imagine what I sounded like. I am sure Jesus didn't care but I sure do feel sorry for my kids. And the attire was a site to see also. I was in an ugly long sleeved denim dress with no makeup and bed head and ugly tennis shoes. Yes the picture you are imagining was probably better than what you would have seen had you been a "Fly on my Wall."

A Few Pictures
Here is a picture of our first snowman. This is our fourth winter and we have finally accomplished making a snowman. I think he turned out pretty good. The kids had a blast making him so we thought we would share this with all of our friends and family who don't get snow. This is just a cute picture of Macky at the end of the hill. I tried to get a picture of her sledding down the hill but of course I am not very good at taking action photos.
What A Great Time to be Homeschooling.
Just a short post to say that I am really excited for today. My children are sitting at home with me as their teacher, as we all watch history being made. Now who could ask for a better scenario. We can pray together for our new president and watch together as we all watch this historical event. I am not ashamed to say that I did not vote for this man, but he is in office now so I will teach my children to respect him as the president. Just wanted to jot this down for my own information today that me and my girls will be watching the first black president get sworn in to the office of President of the United states of America in just a few short hours.
Now it is time for us as Christians to be on our knees praying for this country and this family. Prayer is powerful and God listens to his people when they humbly seek His face and pray. So I encourage us all to seek God's face through this change and PRAY!!!!

Interesting Thought
Our family has started reading a book by the Mally's called "Making Brothers and Sisters Best Friends." We started it right after Christmas and we are not very far into but so far it is a wonderful book. The children laugh every time we read it. The other day I had to take Levi to the chiropractor and I took the five little ones and left the two oldest ones at home. While we were at the office a brother and sister came in and to say the least they were not being very kind to each other. I caught my 2 year old looking very disturbed by this display of anger towards each other. She didn't say anything while we were in the office, but as soon as we got in the van she said, "Mommy, mommy, that boy and girl were being so mean. They hit each other. I will never hit my sisters and brother again." Those are exact words out of her mouth. Now I will guarantee you I am sure her never will not last for very long but at least she is showing an attitude of change.
Now don't think that my children never fight because they fight quiet often, but I can see where they are beginning to look at things differently. So my interesting point is when did this world become so corrupt that we as a society think sibling rivalry is o.k. and that we should just tolerate it. I know in the Bible there was sibling rivalry but there were also consequences. My gosh the one brother got sent out to be a wanderer the rest of his life. Today we just say kids will be kids. With this type of an attitude about family you can see why as soon as the kid is 18 they are ready to leave. I think I had fallen into that trap myself but with just a couple of days of teaching the children how important their siblings are they are beginning to look at each other differently. I know my kids are still going to fight and have problems but what is truly wrong with teaching them to love and respect each other. Look around when you go places and see how children treat each other it is amazing how mean kids can be. Pretty sad.

I am Saddened
Tonight as I sat here on the web looking at women's blogs I came across a very disturbing website. I will not put it on my blog because it truly broke my heart. This woman does nothing but criticize and put down women who call themselves quiver full. She herself is a quiver full mother with 11 blessings. She states that she loved all of the cozy things about mothering but when it comes to the hard side of mothering she goes as far as saying that her husband was abusive and made her have all of these children. She also believes that most large families are abusive and that they are just having children to be their slaves. It saddens me to think that we all have an excuse for everything. If it is too hard let's blame someone else. Let's get back to what quiver full and letting Christ be in charge of our family is really all about. It should not be seen as a number it should be seen as a child and if the Lord sees fit to bless you with 1 or 20 of these little children you are content either way. I think sometimes women think if I have a bunch of kids I am a better person. I just want to always be open to the Lord and let him do what he feels is best for our family. I do get tired some days and I do have a lot of work but all mothers do no matter how many you have. Let's remember mothering is a self sacrificing job for all of us but it is so full of many rewards. So if the Lord chooses to bless us again I say "Amen" and I will pray for this woman who has been so hurt by someone. I will pray that she will feel God's love and have healing for her broken heart.

My sewing Project
I thought I would post a picture of all of us in our Christmas attire. Levi got to wear his new vest that Mommy helped sew. I wish I could say I did all of the sewing for these beautiful dresses but I can't.
This is the finished product of my first sewing experience. I think it turned out pretty good. I did have a nice lady who helped me so I can't take all the credit. And as my husband says here is the Piano Man. I think we as a family for the first time since Maclae was 9 months old are going to have professional pictures taken. I just don't know if we will ever have matching dresses and skirts like this again so I want to capture the moment.
Praise the Lord!!!
God is faithful to His people when we call on Him. Just heard that Callie got an appointment yesterday and she will be flying to Uganda today. She got her passport updated and God has even taken care of the $900. But we all knew he would take care of all the details. Pray for a mighty work to be done for His Kingdom. We see that he is clearing away obstacles for them so we know there is something big happening right before our eyes. Continued prayer for safety is appreciated and for His kingdom to be expanded through this trip.
Thank you all again I feel so blessed to know I can call on my sisters in Christ, and some of you I have never even met. It will be a glorious day in Heaven someday when we are all together sitting at His feet.

New Update
Sorry for the previous post about Callie receiving her passport. The information was wrong. She has an appointment on Thursday but the flight also leaves Thursday. We all know that God is in control and he will figure this mess out. She is in total peace about everything. The cost is about $900 dollars more than what they had planned but we all know that God is bigger than $900 dollars.
Thank you all

Update
I just got an update from my friends who I just wrote about. The daughter Callie got her passport updated and will be flying out of Seattle on Thursday. She is staying with some family friends and really learning to trust God. What a neat experience for such a young lady. She talked to her Dad and he says she sounds great. The team will be in Uganda will still be near the airport when she gets there so she will not have to travel in a foreign country on her own. Thank you Lord for taking care of all the little things. I know how much Carol believes in staying together when she does missing trips with her kids. Only the Lord knows how important that is to Carol and he is making sure they stay together once they are on foreign soil. He is such a good God. Thank you all for praying. Now let's keep praying for those lost souls over there to have open hearts and ears. Hopefully the rest of this trip will go smoothly and i won't be back posting about his until after the trip.
Thanks again for all your prayers.
Thanks again for all your prayers.

Please Pray
I am writing about this on my blog because I believe there are a lot of you women out their who believe in prayer and trusting the Lord.I have a dear friend in Phoenix who was also my midwife for two of my children, who has a new Ministry called Helping Mothers and Babies Inc. Her and her 21 year old daughter are on their way to Uganda to bring birth kits and teach women about healthy pregnancies and birth. Along with this they give the gospel and hope to win souls for Jesus. Did you know that there are still women putting cow dung on the umbilical cord? Why because they have not been taught any differently. This is what Carol and Callie are hoping to do is educate these women and help them see the Love of Jesus. We all know that children are a gift from God so I believe this is a great ministry.
I just heard that they had some problems in Seattle. The daughter's passport is almost expired and for her to travel it needs to be good for another 6 months. This is very scary for them as the daughter is staying back and will be traveling alone when her passport gets updated. You all know what to pray. Whatever God lays on your heart. Last night as I was sitting on the couch I felt this heavy burden to pray fro Carol and Callie. I stopped what I was doing and did just that began to pray not knowing why but knowing that they needed me to. I am trying to really listen for God and I guess he does talk to us I have just for many years been too busy. I do not have the official website of this ministry but if you google Helping Mothers and Babies, Inc. you will find them. I will keep you all posted with their trip and again thanks for praying for your fellow Sisters in Christ.
