Those who plant in tears will harvest SHOUTS OF JOY. They weep as they plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the HARVEST.

The Heartbeat

Today was the day. This is always a special day in our family and as the children grow they seem to get more and more excited with each new baby. I told the girls last week that the midwife would be coming and we would be able to hear the heartbeat. They were so excited they started counting down the days.

When she got to our house this evening all of the girls sat on the floor and waited patiently for her to do what she needed to do. And then it was time. All the little ones climbed on the couch with mommy and the older ones sat as close as they could possibly get. Then we heard it. That fast little sound which was our little babies beating heart. You could see their eyes light up and even feel their excitement.

What a wonderful sound that was not only for the children but also for mommy. I feel like it is the first time my little child is saying "hello" I am right here. The feeling I get every time is the same. I t is the first of many milestones I will encounter with this child. I couldn't ask for a better Monday.

What an awesome post. You even brought tears to Daniel's eyes, but then again, the intro to the National Geographic computer CD does the same thing for him. That doesn't make the moment for you any less important. We cannot wait to hear the heart beats again as well!

My dear daughter I know you told me last night in phone conversation about the heartbeat, but today you brought tears to my eyes, and made my heart full of love for baby. We are all blessed by God, with Easter fast approaching, we give thanks for Jesus, the ultimate Son!! Thank you Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Thump, thump baby Jensen, we love you Nana C
