Those who plant in tears will harvest SHOUTS OF JOY. They weep as they plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the HARVEST.

I am Saddened

Tonight as I sat here on the web looking at women's blogs I came across a very disturbing website. I will not put it on my blog because it truly broke my heart. This woman does nothing but criticize and put down women who call themselves quiver full. She herself is a quiver full mother with 11 blessings. She states that she loved all of the cozy things about mothering but when it comes to the hard side of mothering she goes as far as saying that her husband was abusive and made her have all of these children. She also believes that most large families are abusive and that they are just having children to be their slaves. It saddens me to think that we all have an excuse for everything. If it is too hard let's blame someone else. Let's get back to what quiver full and letting Christ be in charge of our family is really all about. It should not be seen as a number it should be seen as a child and if the Lord sees fit to bless you with 1 or 20 of these little children you are content either way. I think sometimes women think if I have a bunch of kids I am a better person. I just want to always be open to the Lord and let him do what he feels is best for our family. I do get tired some days and I do have a lot of work but all mothers do no matter how many you have. Let's remember mothering is a self sacrificing job for all of us but it is so full of many rewards. So if the Lord chooses to bless us again I say "Amen" and I will pray for this woman who has been so hurt by someone. I will pray that she will feel God's love and have healing for her broken heart.

I am sorry for this lady. I adore big families and small families. Each family has something to bring into this world. And I believe that as christian we know God uses us to raise the next generations of christians. I will pray for this women and my heart goes out to you.

Just now, I would send the woman arms to go around her, she needs prayer and we can do that for her. Thank you for your love toward a stranger as you know your own motherhood is God sent. Love Nana C

I would not call myself Quiverful, for several reasons. However, I would say that my husband and I realized that God is the One Who ought to be in control...of everything including childbearing.

How can we say God is Lord when we tell HIM what it is that He has to do for us? We are not surrendered to Him when we say, "Yes, Lord, but..."

All that said, it's encouraging to see believers willing to have as many children as God wants for them to have...and when.
